The smallest of the three MedicAir units and the one you put where people sleep, concentrate or are seen one at a time: bedrooms, hotel guest rooms, single offices and consultation rooms. H14 HEPA, activated carbon and a UV-C chamber in a 510 mm tower that weighs 5.6 kg.
PRO TECHnology is the exclusive MedicAir distributor for the GCC, including the United Arab Emirates, and supplies, installs and services the Pro Mini, with replacement filter cartridges held locally. Its published capacity is up to 400 m³/h, which on the usual sizing arithmetic covers about 133 m³ of room volume at three air changes an hour and about 80 m³ at five, so it is a single-room machine rather than a whole-home one. Its quietest published setting is 21 dB, and that, rather than airflow, is usually why it gets chosen.

Who the Pro Mini is for
This is a single-room machine, and the rooms it suits are the ones where somebody spends hours at a time behind a closed door.
Bedrooms
The strongest case. A closed bedroom is a small, sealed volume and the Sleep setting is quiet enough to leave running all night. In a villa, one per bedroom that is actually used.
Hotel guest rooms
Noise decides this, not airflow. A guest who turns the unit off at midnight gets nothing from it, so a Pro Mini on a low setting beats a bigger machine run loud.
Single offices and study rooms
A private office of 30 to 40 m³ is comfortably inside the Pro Mini's range at five air changes an hour, and it stays quiet enough for calls.
Consultation and treatment rooms
Most outpatient rooms are modest in volume with quick occupancy turnover, which is the pattern the Pro Mini fits. Place it to draw air away from the breathing zone.
Where it is the wrong machine: an open-plan floor, a lobby, a majlis that runs into a dining room, a gym or a function space. Those are volume problems, and the honest answer is the Pro, the Pro Max or several distributed units rather than a Pro Mini working beyond its rating.
What size of room does a Pro Mini cover?
Room volume, not floor area. Multiply length by width by ceiling height, then multiply by the air changes per hour you want. Compare the result with the unit's rated 400 m³/h.

A typical UAE apartment bedroom, 4.5 m x 3.5 m with a 3 m ceiling, holds 47 m³.
At three air changes an hour it needs 142 m³/h, well inside one Pro Mini's range, which means it can run at a low, quiet setting rather than flat out.
At five air changes an hour it needs 236 m³/h, still one Pro Mini, now on a middle setting.
That headroom is the point. A unit that has to run at maximum to meet the target is the unit somebody turns down.

Figures we could not reconcile
The manual supplied with the unit and the manufacturer's current website disagree on four points, and the manual disagrees with itself on a fifth. We publish the manual's figure, because that is the document that comes with the machine you are buying from us, and we show you the alternative rather than burying it.

The 400 and 410 figures are within the manual's own ±10% tolerance, so they may describe the same machine measured differently rather than two revisions. We have asked the manufacturer to confirm.
Controls and app
Everything is on a touchscreen on the top of the unit: power, fan speed, timer and a child lock engaged by holding the fan speed key for five seconds. Press power and the unit scans the room, then defaults to ReAKT, in which the laser particulate, humidity, temperature and TVOC sensors drive the fan speed automatically. The figure on the display is the air quality reading.
The MedicAir app adds remote control and filter tracking over Wi-Fi, and the separate MedicAir Data app logs air quality across several units and several buildings, which is what a facilities team or a multi-site clinic group actually needs. Both are on the App Store and Google Play.
Changing the filter
One combined cartridge holds the pre-filter, the H14 medium and the carbon layer, so there is one part to order and one operation to perform. Power down and unplug, lay the unit on its side without holding it by the top vents, twist the base anticlockwise, slide the old cartridge out, slide the new one in with its solid base nearest the bottom, twist clockwise to lock, stand the unit up, plug in, then hold the power key for five seconds to recalibrate. It takes a couple of minutes and needs no technician. Wear gloves, and do not attack the medium with a brush or a scouring pad to recover it.
Buying and owning a Pro Mini in the UAE
- Filters. 5,000 hours published, and MedicAir recommends replacing the cartridge at least once every twelve months even if the unit has not asked. Cartridges are stocked locally by PRO TECHnology.
- Dust. A Pro Mini in a Dubai villa near an entrance door, or in a ground-floor room, loads its pre-filter faster than the published interval assumes. Wipe or vacuum the intake grille regularly and the cartridge lasts closer to its rating.
- Placement. Keep the intakes more than 20 cm clear of walls and furniture. Under a desk, behind a curtain or pushed against a wall, the unit recirculates its own output instead of the room's air.
- Warranty. The manual states two years; the manufacturer's website is inconsistent. Ask us to state the term on the quotation.
- Seeing one first. The Pro Mini is on display at our Business Bay showroom, which is the only reliable way to judge whether 21 dB, 55 dB(A) and the settings in between are acceptable in your bedroom.

What size room does the MedicAir Pro Mini cover?
Its rated capacity of up to 400 m3/h corresponds to about 133 m3 of room volume at three air changes an hour, about 80 m3 at five and about 40 m3 at ten. Work from volume, not floor area: multiply length by width by ceiling height. A 4.5 by 3.5 m bedroom with a 3 m ceiling is 47 m3, comfortably inside one unit's range at three to five air changes an hour.
How quiet is the MedicAir Pro Mini?
Its lowest published level is 21 dB, on the Sleep setting, and its manual gives the maximum as 55 dB(A) at full fan speed. Those two figures describe different moments and neither is the level you will hear at a middle setting. Sizing generously so the unit can run below maximum is the practical way to keep a bedroom or hotel room quiet.
Does the MedicAir Pro Mini use H13 or H14 HEPA?
H14, the finer of the two grades. Under EN 1822, H14 captures at least 99.995% of particles at the most penetrating particle size, against at least 99.95% for H13. The Pro Mini and the larger Pro Max are both specified at H14, while the mid-range Pro is specified at H13.
Is the MedicAir Pro Mini 400 or 410 cubic metres per hour?
The user manual supplied with the unit states up to 400 m3/h as a clean air delivery rate with the H14 filter fitted, with a tolerance of plus or minus 10%. The manufacturer's website lists 410 m3/h and describes it as airflow at the maximum setting. Both figures sit inside the manual's own tolerance. We publish 400 because that is the document supplied with the machine, and we have asked the manufacturer to confirm.
Is the MedicAir Pro Mini a medical device?
No. Its manual states in terms that it is not a medical device, and that it helps protect against certain particulate contaminants but does not eliminate exposure to, or the risk of contracting, disease or infection. Medical-grade describes the filtration approach rather than a regulatory class.
How often does the Pro Mini filter need changing?
MedicAir publishes a 5,000-hour life for the cartridge and recommends replacing it at least once every twelve months even if the unit has not signalled a change. The unit tracks its own filter life and warns you. In a dusty ground-floor room or near an entrance door, expect the shorter end of that. Replacement cartridges are supplied locally in the UAE by PRO TECHnology.
Can the Pro Mini clean a whole apartment or villa?
No single unit can. A purifier cleans only the air that reaches its intake, and a closed door is a wall as far as air movement goes. In an apartment one Pro Mini can cover a bedroom while the connected living and dining volume needs its own unit, usually a Pro. In a villa the normal pattern is a Pro or Pro Max for the main living space and a Pro Mini per bedroom that matters.
Does the Pro Mini help with dust in the UAE?
Yes, that is what the HEPA stage is for, and fine outdoor dust is the pollutant most UAE households actually notice. Two practical notes. The pre-filter takes the coarse load and needs cleaning more often here than a European interval assumes. And filtration treats airborne dust, not the dust that has already settled on surfaces.
Does the Pro Mini have a remote control?
No. It is controlled from the touchscreen on top of the unit and from the MedicAir mobile app over Wi-Fi, which also tracks filter life and logs air quality. A physical remote control is supplied with the larger MedicAir Pro rather than the Pro Mini.
