LSINC Appoints PRO TECHnology as Exclusive Distributor for the Middle East and North Africa: Direct-to-Object Printing for Bottles, Cans, Cosmetics, Candles and Mugs Comes to the Region

Dubai, 7 December 2023. LSINC Corporation of Huntsville, Alabama, has appointed PRO TECHnology as its exclusive distributor for the Middle East and North Africa. The agreement brings LSINC's 360-degree direct-to-object UV printers, the PeriOne, PeriQ360 and Perivallo360m, to water and beverage manufacturers, glass bottle makers, perfume houses, cosmetics and candle brands across the region, with a demonstration unit at Sun Studio in Dubai, and no minimum order quantity on anything they print.

This announcement is PRO TECHnology's own account of the partnership, published in the Newsroom and updated in September 2026 to add the PeriH, LSINC's printer for handled mugs, which joined the range in 2025. The announcement

PRO TECHnology, the Dubai technology company established in February 1998 and one of the first to introduce UV printing to the region, today becomes the exclusive distributor of LSINC Corporation's direct-to-object printers for the Middle East and North Africa. LSINC, an engineering and manufacturing company based in Huntsville, Alabama, builds the Peri Series: industrial UV inkjet printers that decorate cylindrical and tapered products 360 degrees, direct to the object, with no label and no sleeve. Under the agreement PRO TECHnology sells, installs, trains, services and supplies consumables for the PeriOne, PeriQ360 and Perivallo360m across the region, and LSINC's own distributor map lists PRO TECHnology for 14 countries.

The two companies will show the range together at FESPA Middle East in Dubai in January 2024, where a PeriOne prints visitors' own products live on the stand. Ahead of that, a demonstration unit is available at Sun Studio, the group's UV printing studio in Al Quoz, Dubai, so that a brand or manufacturer anywhere in the region can send its containers, see them printed, and run sample orders before making the decision to buy.

Why direct-to-object printing changes the game for bottle, beverage, perfume, cosmetic and candle brands

Every container on a shelf today is decorated by something applied to it afterwards: a paper or film label, a shrink sleeve, a screen print with one screen per colour, or a transfer. Each of those adds a supplier, a lead time, a minimum order and a material that can lift, wrinkle or fall off. LSINC's printers remove the layer altogether. The container is held on a spindle, rotates under UV inkjet heads, and the artwork is laid down as one continuous wrap that the LED lamp cures the instant it lands. The decoration becomes part of the glass, metal or plastic itself.

Water and beverage manufacturers: print glass, PET and aluminium bottles straight off the filling line, filled and sealed included, and run limited editions, co-branding and hospitality orders without a new label SKU for each one.
Glass bottle manufacturers and decorators: offer full-colour, photographic and metallic-effect decoration on clear or coloured glass with no white base and no barrier, at speeds that screen printing cannot match on short and medium runs.

The capabilities that matter are the same on every machine in the range. Any colour: CMYK plus white, with varnish for gloss, matte and clear relief, colour-managed through the Onyx Thrive RIP, and G7-calibrated on the PeriQ360. The LSINC range: four direct-to-object printers, one for each kind of job

LSINC builds its printers around the same JetINX print engine, LED curing, seven ink channels and Onyx Thrive RIP, then changes the way the object is held and fed to suit the job. Three cylindrical machines were part of the launch range; the PeriH for handled containers joined it in 2025. The rated speeds below are LSINC's figures at a 4-inch (101.6 mm) artwork height; real output depends on coverage, geometry and how the machine is fed.

PeriQ360: the industrial printing machine for glass bottles at production speed

The PeriQ360 is the machine for a water bottler, a beverage line, a glass decorator or a perfume house that measures output per shift. Four spindles print four containers at the same time, the operator loads the next four while the current set prints, and LSINC rates it at 1,146 pieces an hour. G7 colour calibration keeps the same red the same red from the first bottle to the last, and variable-data caching lets the four tunnels run four different designs, or four different names, in one cycle. It prints glass, clear or coloured with no white base, PET and aluminium, on a 38 to 114 mm diameter window and a 406 mm print length, which covers a 330 ml can, a 500 ml water bottle and a 100 ml fragrance bottle alike.

PeriOne: a compact direct-to-object printer for bottles, candle jars and short runs

The PeriOne is the single-spindle version of the same engine, built for the brand that launches, samples and runs limited editions, and for the decorator that takes a different job every hour. It loads one item at a time, needs one operator, and takes the largest objects in the range, up to 152 mm in diameter and 457 mm long, so growlers, large candle jars, vases and 1-litre bottles are all inside its window. It prints clear glass with no barrier, offers LSINC's jettable primer for surfaces that need it, and won the 2022 PRINTING United Alliance Pinnacle Product Award for direct-to-shape printers. For a candle maker or a fragrance brand, it is usually the first machine.

Perivallo360m: printing wine bottles, tapered and contoured containers

A wine bottle's shoulder, a shaped perfume flacon, a conical cup and a slim cosmetic tube share a problem: they are not cylinders. The Perivallo360m answers it with print heads that follow the surface on servo-driven mandrels, so it prints from the base up onto the shoulder and neck at tapers up to ±30°, where the PeriOne and PeriQ360 stop at +10°/−2°. It also takes the smallest diameters in the range, from 20 mm, which is what puts lipstick cases, roll-ons and sample vials within reach. Rated at 174 pieces an hour, it is the machine for premium, shaped and unusual containers rather than for volume.

PeriH: UV printing on mugs and handled drinkware, without the sublimation coating

Update, September 2026. The PeriH joined the LSINC range in 2025 and is now supplied and supported by PRO TECHnology in the region alongside the three cylindrical machines.

Mugs have always been the awkward object: a handle stops a cylindrical printer from rotating the piece, which is why most printed mugs are sublimated, a process that needs a polymer-coated blank, prints only onto that coating, cannot print white, struggles on dark mugs and leaves the coating's own finish behind. The PeriH is LSINC's industrial direct-to-object printer for handled containers. It indexes the mug rather than spinning it, prints in a single pass at 600 dpi with Epson recirculating heads, carries CMYK plus white and varnish with a primer channel, and prints up to 16 mm onto the handle so the artwork runs to the edge. The standard print height is 96 mm, extendable to 128 mm; two mugs print at once; and a self-adjusting carriage takes straight-sided and tapered shapes from 61 to 127 mm in diameter at up to 5 pieces a minute.

For a gifting company, a coffee brand or a hotel, the practical difference is that any plain ceramic or coated-metal mug can be printed, dark colours included, with white, full colour, photographs and a name per piece, with no coated blank to buy in advance and no minimum order quantity. Paired with LSINC's primer, the print is dishwasher safe and scratch resistant on ceramic, which is where the alternatives for mugs give up first.

Durability: LSINC primers against the UV DTF sticker problem

The first question every buyer asks about printed drinkware and bottles is whether it lasts, because most people have seen a UV DTF transfer peel. UV DTF is a print made on a film and transferred to the object as a sticker with an adhesive layer, so it always has an exposed edge, and a dishwasher, a fingernail, a bottle of perfume or a hot wash finds that edge. It is a decoration on the surface, not in it. Sublimation has a different limit: the image is dyed into a polymer coating, so it needs coated blanks, cannot print white, fades in sunlight and is only as durable as the coating.

Direct-to-object printing on an LSINC machine works the other way round. LSINC's jettable primer is printed onto the container in the same pass as the artwork, the UV ink bonds to that primed surface, and the LED lamp cures each layer as it lands, with a final cure to finish. There is no film, no adhesive and no edge. With that recipe, PRO TECHnology rates the print as scratch resistant, alcohol resistant, dishwasher safe, UV resistant and microwave safe on glass and ceramic, which is why a printed perfume bottle survives its own contents and a printed glass survives a commercial dishwasher. Surfaces that need more, such as some plastics and coated metals, get pre-treatment first, and the recipe is confirmed on a sample of each new container before a production run.

No minimum order quantity

Screen printing needs a screen per colour, a label needs a print run and a sleeve needs a minimum roll, and each of those sets a floor under the order. Direct-to-object printing has none of them: the artwork is a file, the machine is loaded, and the first piece prints. That is why LSINC's machines run one piece, ten, a personalised run where every item carries a different name, or a full production shift, from the same setup. A sample costs a sample, and the price per piece falls as the quantity rises, but nothing forces a minimum, and a brand can test a design in the market before committing to it.
