Shelfy: the smart fridge purifier
Shelfy is a small, battery-powered purifier that sits on a fridge shelf or in the crisper drawer. A fan draws the fridge air through a photocatalytic ceramic filter lit by a blue LED, which breaks down ethylene, odours and bacteria. Ethylene is the gas fruit and vegetables release as they ripen; less of it in the air means produce ripens and spoils more slowly. Vitesy designs and makes Shelfy in Italy.

What Vitesy says Shelfy does

A smelly fridge almost always has a source: food that is going off, a spill under a drawer, or strong foods such as fish, cheese, onions and leftovers stored uncovered. Remove the source first, then keep the air clean so the smell does not come back. - Empty the fridge, check dates and throw away anything spoiled.
- Wash shelves, drawers and the door seal with warm water and a mild detergent, then dry them.
- Clear the drain hole at the back of the fridge if your model has one; a blocked drain holds stale water.
- Store fish, cheese, onions and leftovers in sealed containers.
- Keep the fridge at 4 °C or colder, the limit the US FDA recommends, so food spoils more slowly.

Vitesy Deo: an odour eliminator that lasts 10 years
Vitesy Deo is a compact odour eliminator for small closed spaces. Its catalyst breaks odour molecules down into CO₂ and water instead of covering them with fragrance, and the catalyst is not used up, which is why Vitesy rates it for 10 years. There is nothing to plug in, charge, refill or set up: put it in place and leave it.

- Where it works: the fridge (fish, cheese, leftovers), wardrobes, cars, shoe racks, pantries and the cupboard under the sink.
- Size and coverage: 7 × 7 × 8 cm; one unit covers 1 to 2 m³, and strong or persistent odours may need more than one.
- Lab results: in a sealed 60-litre test box, more than 99.5% of trimethylamine (fish odour) and more than 99.6% of methyl mercaptan (rotten egg and garlic odours) were removed within two hours, and 96.7% of formaldehyde within 24 hours in a test chamber (Vitesy Deo test report).
- Care: do not rinse it; wipe it with a damp cloth. The 10-year rating comes from an accelerated lab test and counts from the day it leaves the box.
Vitesy Fruit Bowl: fruit at its best, for longer
Every fruit releases ethylene as it ripens. In an open bowl the gas builds up and speeds ripening; in a sealed box moisture builds up and fruit sweats. Vitesy Fruit Bowl sits between the two: a lid keeps flies and dust out, vents draw air through a catalytic filter inside the lid that breaks down ethylene and odours, and a wavy tray limits condensation. It needs no power and no filter changes.
