Bellaria AirCube

Bellaria AirCube toilet odour eliminator in the UAE

Bellaria AirCube is a battery-powered toilet odour eliminator that hangs on the side of the toilet bowl. While the toilet is in use, it draws air out of the bowl and treats it with ionisation and a filter, so the odour is tackled at the bowl instead of being masked in the room. Bellaria Technology GmbH of Munich, Germany, developed it and sells its current model as the AirCube 3.0. In the UAE you can buy it from EVO, PRO TECHnology’s online shop, and we can check whether it will fit your toilet before you order.

AirCube deals with one specific problem: the odour produced while someone is using the toilet. It is not a room air purifier, it does not fix smells from drains, sewage or damp, and it does not replace cleaning the toilet.

EVO shows the current price, stock and delivery options. Send us a photo of your toilet and we will tell you whether AirCube is likely to fit.

What it does

What Bellaria AirCube does

Odour from toilet use starts in the bowl and spreads into the room quickly. Sprays and air fresheners usually come out after that has happened, and most work by adding a scent on top of the smell.

AirCube works at the bowl instead. While you are seated, its fan draws air out of the bowl into the unit. Bellaria describes a two-stage system: positively charged ions break odour molecules apart, and a long-life filter captures what is left, so the air is treated before it reaches the room.

It does not add a fragrance. Bellaria presents it as an alternative to toilet sprays, rim blocks and air fresheners, and sells optional fragrance inserts for anyone who wants a scent as well.

How it works

How AirCube works, step by step

A touch panel on top has three controls: a fan icon for odour extraction, a toilet icon for the cleaning cycle, and AUTO, which lets a motion sensor run both in turn. Three dots show the battery level. The sensor detects movement, not smell.

  1. Someone sits down In AUTO mode the motion sensor detects the person and starts odour extraction. In manual mode, press the fan icon instead.
  2. Odour extraction, about 3.5 minutes The fan pulls air out of the bowl through the ioniser and filter, and a tap on the panel starts another run if you need longer. Bellaria advises sitting fully on the seat, so less air escapes before the unit can draw it in.
  3. Cleaning cycle, with the lid closed Once no movement has been detected for 60 seconds, AirCube directs ionised air into the closed bowl for about a minute. In AUTO mode it stops if it detects movement and runs no more than three cleaning cycles an hour.

Odour extraction and cleaning are separate

Extraction deals with the smell while the toilet is in use. The cleaning cycle happens afterwards, inside the closed bowl. Despite the name, it does not scrub the bowl: Bellaria points to normal cleaning products for stains and deposits, and EVO’s listing notes that AirCube does not replace a toilet brush.

Why the lid must be closed

The cleaning cycle uses ozone, according to Bellaria’s 2022 user manual, which describes ozone as an irritant gas that is not dangerous in low doses. That is why the lid must stay closed while the cycle runs, and the manual asks you to wait a few minutes before lifting it. If the cycle starts while someone is standing at the toilet, the manual says to stop it from the panel, take the battery out, keep the lid closed and air the room. It also advises against breathing the air from the unit’s outlet directly for long periods.

Where it fits

Where AirCube is suitable, and where it is not

Bellaria recommends AirCube for homes, shared flats, guest toilets and offices, and markets it to hotels too. As a battery-powered unit that runs its cleaning cycle no more than three times an hour, it suits a toilet with a limited number of users better than a busy public washroom.

A good fit

  • Home bathrooms and en-suites
  • Guest toilets used when visitors call
  • Shared flats and households with a few regular users
  • A small office toilet used by a handful of people

Not suitable, or check first

  • Busy washrooms in offices, shops, restaurants or hotels, which we do not recommend it for. Bellaria’s manual asks users not to run AirCube more than three times an hour and says it is not built for continuous operation. The battery also needs charging more often, and Bellaria advises using manual mode most of the time in busy bathrooms.
  • Squat toilets and urinals, which Bellaria says AirCube cannot be fitted to.
  • Cleaning the air of a whole bathroom. The manual limits AirCube to odours from toilet use and rules out using it as a continuous room air purifier.
  • Bathrooms used by children. Bellaria’s manual says the device is not suitable for children, should be operated by adults who have read the instructions, and must not be played with.
  • Washrooms that are not air-conditioned, and en-suites that stay steamy after showers. The manual gives an operating and storage range of 10–35 °C and 10–80% relative humidity, and the unit must not get wet.

Installation

Installation and toilet compatibility

You need no tools, drilling or wiring. A small L-shaped Easy-Click-In bracket sticks over the rim at the side of the bowl, and the unit clicks onto it, hanging on the outside with its flat top plate over the rim. The ceramic must be clean and completely dry before the bracket goes on. Two brackets come in the box; Bellaria’s 2022 manual describes them as having slightly different angles, 90° and 93°, to suit different bowl shapes. In connect’s December 2025 test, the stick-on bracket was the one weak point, described as a little flimsy, so fit it with care.

The unit does not touch the inner flushing rim. Bellaria says it fits almost all standard seated toilets built to European standards, including rimless bowls and soft-close seats from makers such as Villeroy & Boch, Keramag and Duravit, and a Bellaria campaign page adds that it fits wall-hung as well as floor-standing toilets. It cannot be fitted to squat toilets or urinals.

  • Check that the seat and lid still close fully with the unit in place, because the cleaning cycle needs the lid closed. connect’s test notes that the bracket must sit between two of the lid’s buffers, the small pads that rest on the rim.
  • Bellaria’s manual says the unit must not come into contact with water, and it is rated only IPX1 (dripping water). Aim a hand-held bidet spray (shattaf) away from it, and tell us which side of the toilet the spray hangs on when you send your photo.
  • Try the bracket against your bowl with its adhesive backing still on. EVO takes back only unused items, and Bellaria’s manual says Bellaria does not take a unit back once that backing has been removed.
  • For shower toilets, electronic bidet seats and unusually shaped bowls, send us a photo before ordering.

Photograph the toilet from the side with the lid down, the rim where the unit would sit and the underside of the seat, then email the photos to sales@protech.ae or send them on WhatsApp to +971 4 343 5501.

Treat uses per charge as a range that depends on the mode and how often the toilet is used.

Everyday use

Everyday use and maintenance

Day to day, AirCube needs charging, an occasional wipe and lifting off its bracket when you clean the toilet. Bellaria says the long-life filter does not need changing, and fragrance inserts are optional, so there is no regular refill to buy.

  • Charging. When the battery dots run low, slide the battery out and charge it with the supplied USB-C charger; do not charge it while it is in the unit. The lamp on the battery turns from red to blue when it is full. A spare battery keeps the unit running while the other one charges. EVO’s spare battery comes without a charger, and the manual says to use only the supplied charger and only Bellaria AirCube batteries.
  • Choosing a mode. AUTO is hands-free. Manual mode uses less battery, and Bellaria recommends using it most of the time in busy bathrooms.
  • Cleaning the unit. Wipe it with a damp microfibre cloth and dry it. Never put it in a dishwasher or washing machine.
  • Cleaning the toilet. Lift the unit off its bracket, keep it away from water and clean as usual. Keep cleaning products off the bracket, because Bellaria does not guarantee the adhesive once other chemical cleaners reach it. Let the bowl dry, then click the unit back on.
  • Fragrance inserts (optional). Take the battery out, open the small grille inside the unit, place the insert and close the grille again. Bellaria’s manual advises wearing protective gloves when changing them, especially for people with allergies. EVO sells Ocean Breeze, Flower Breeze and Vanilla Breeze inserts in packs of two.
  • Faults. If it will not start, charge the battery. If it becomes unusually loud, stop it, take the battery out and check the air vent for anything blocking it; if it is clear, contact us. Do not open the unit: Bellaria’s manual says only Bellaria’s own staff may repair it.

Comparison

AirCube compared with air fresheners, extract fans and plumbing fixes

Before buying a toilet odour remover or bathroom odour eliminator, start with where the smell comes from. Odour produced while the toilet is in use is a different problem from a sewage smell out of a drain, a urine smell from residue around the toilet, or a musty smell from damp. Each has its own fix, and the approaches below often complement each other.

Four approaches to toilet and bathroom smells, and what each one addresses
ApproachWhat it deals withWhat it does not doOngoing effort
Bellaria AirCubeOdour produced in the bowl during toilet use, drawn off and treated before it spreadsDoes not stop drain, sewage or damp smells, clean stains or remove urine residueRecharge the battery; wipe the unit; keep cleaning the toilet as normal
Air fresheners, sprays and toilet deodorisersAdds a scent that makes odour less noticeable; cheap and quick to startMostly covers the smell rather than removing it, and is often used after it has reached the roomRepeat purchases; the scent itself may not suit everyone
Bathroom extract fanClears odour and moisture from the whole room, including steam after showersDoes not act at the bowl, so odour reaches the room first; a weak or blocked fan clears it slowlyRun the fan and keep its grille clean
Plumbing inspectionPersistent sewage or rotten-egg smells from a dry trap, a failed toilet seal or a blocked ventDoes nothing for odour during normal useA one-off repair by a plumber or building maintenance

A urine smell that lingers after cleaning often means residue in places a brush misses, such as under the rim, around the seat hinges or on the floor around the base, so clean those spots. A sewage smell that is there even when nobody has used the toilet is a plumbing problem, not an odour-control one: a floor drain that has not been used for a while can dry out and let drain air in, and running water into it often helps. A musty smell points to damp, so fix any leak and improve ventilation. If damp is spreading into the rooms around the bathroom, a dehumidifier in those rooms can help, such as those in our Stadler Form range.

Buying in the UAE

Buying Bellaria AirCube in the UAE

Buy online from EVO. EVO, PRO TECHnology’s online shop, lists the unit as the Bellaria Air Cube Toilet Odor Neutralizer & Ionizer, together with its spare battery and fragrance inserts. It shows the current price and stock, delivers within the UAE only, and its listing says orders received from Sunday to Thursday ship the next day. PRO TECHnology supplies Bellaria as part of its Distribution division.

Warranty and support. If you buy from EVO, PRO TECHnology is the seller, so questions and fault reports come to our team in Dubai. Ask us to confirm the warranty terms before you order. Bellaria’s 30-day money-back guarantee and one-year guarantee are advertised in its own online shop, which delivers within the EU, and Bellaria does not say they cover units bought elsewhere, so do not rely on them for a unit bought in the UAE.

Returns. EVO’s returns and refunds policy allows returns within 15 days of delivery for items that are unused, in their original packaging and with proof of purchase, and says some items may not be returnable for hygiene or safety reasons. Ask us before ordering if you want to confirm how that applies to AirCube. Bellaria’s own manual says it does not take a unit back once the bracket’s adhesive backing has been removed, so check the fit first.

The manufacturer

About Bellaria

Bellaria Technology GmbH, the Munich company behind AirCube, was founded by former professional footballer Giuseppe Leo. Bellaria reports that AirCube won a German Innovation Award in 2022. It also says the Bremen Environmental Institute tested AirCube in a laboratory, where one test odorant, dimethyl sulphide, was no longer detectable when the unit was running; the cleaning cycle was assessed and ozone levels were monitored. The full report is not published. Bellaria presented AirCube on Die Höhle der Löwen, the German version of Dragons’ Den, in an episode broadcast on VOX in September 2025.

For an independent view, the German technology magazine connect tested AirCube in December 2025 in a small windowless test toilet and rated it “very good”. It found the odour removal effective and the unit easy to install and use; its one criticism was the stick-on bracket.

FAQ

Bellaria AirCube questions

What is Bellaria AirCube?

Bellaria AirCube is a battery-powered toilet odour eliminator developed by Bellaria Technology GmbH in Munich, Germany. It hangs on the side of the toilet bowl, draws air out of the bowl during use and treats it with ionisation and a filter, then runs a short cleaning cycle in the closed bowl afterwards.

How does AirCube control toilet odours?

While you are seated, a fan draws air out of the bowl into the unit for about 3.5 minutes. Inside, Bellaria says, positively charged ions break odour molecules apart and a long-life filter captures what is left, so the air is treated before it spreads into the room.

Does AirCube mask smells with fragrance?

No. AirCube treats the air from the bowl instead of adding a fragrance. Bellaria sells optional fragrance inserts that fit inside the unit, but it works without them.

Is installation required?

No professional installation is needed. You stick an Easy-Click-In bracket onto the clean, dry rim at the side of the bowl and click the unit onto it, with no drilling, wiring or plumbing. Test the bracket against your bowl with its adhesive backing still on before you stick it.

Will AirCube fit every toilet?

Not every toilet. Bellaria says it fits almost all standard seated toilets built to European standards, including rimless bowls and soft-close seats. It cannot be fitted to squat toilets or urinals. The seat and lid must still close with the unit in place, and connect’s December 2025 test notes that the bracket must sit between two of the lid’s buffers. For wall-hung toilets, shower toilets, electronic bidet seats or unusual bowls, send us a photo before ordering.

How is AirCube powered and charged?

It runs on a removable lithium-ion battery, rated 3.6 V and 5,200 mAh in Bellaria’s 2022 manual. You take the battery out and charge it only with the supplied USB-C charger; a lamp on the battery turns from red to blue when it is full. Bellaria quotes up to 28 toilet visits per charge on its English product page and up to 30 extraction and 40 cleaning cycles in its FAQ, which it says lasts a two-person household more than two weeks. Manual mode uses less battery than AUTO.

Does AirCube need replacement filters or other consumables?

Not on a regular basis. Bellaria says the long-life filter does not need changing, although its manual notes that the odour and cleaning functions wear over time. Fragrance inserts are optional, and a spare battery lets the unit keep running while the other battery charges.

Does AirCube replace normal toilet cleaning?

No. EVO’s listing notes that AirCube does not replace a toilet brush, and Bellaria points to normal cleaning products for stains and deposits. Lift the unit off its bracket when you clean, keep cleaners off the bracket’s adhesive and let the bowl dry before clicking it back on.

Can AirCube fix sewage or drain smells?

No. AirCube treats odour produced in the bowl during use. A sewage or rotten-egg smell that is there when nobody has used the toilet usually comes from a dry trap, a failed toilet seal or a blocked vent, and needs a plumber or building maintenance. Musty smells point to damp.

Is AirCube suitable for shared bathrooms?

Yes, for a shared flat or a small office toilet with a few regular users. We do not recommend it for a busy public washroom: Bellaria’s manual asks users not to run it more than three times an hour and says it is not built for continuous operation, and heavy use means more frequent charging. The manual also says the device is not suitable for children.

Why must the toilet lid be closed during the cleaning cycle?

Because the cleaning cycle uses ozone, according to Bellaria’s 2022 user manual. The manual says to keep the lid closed while the cycle runs and to wait a few minutes before lifting it. If the cycle starts while someone is standing at the toilet, it says to stop it from the panel, take the battery out, keep the lid closed and air the room. In AUTO mode the cycle only starts once no movement has been detected for about a minute, and it stops if it senses someone.

Where can I buy Bellaria AirCube in Dubai or elsewhere in the UAE?

Online from EVO, PRO TECHnology’s online shop, which delivers within the UAE and shows the current price and stock. For a fit check or an order of several units, contact PRO TECHnology in Business Bay, Dubai, on +971 4 343 5501 or at sales@protech.ae.

What warranty and support apply to UAE purchases?

Ask us to confirm the warranty before you order. Units bought from EVO are sold by PRO TECHnology, so support questions come to our team in Dubai. EVO’s policy allows returns within 15 days of delivery for unused items in their original packaging. Bellaria’s 30-day money-back guarantee and one-year guarantee are advertised in its own online shop, which delivers within the EU, so do not assume they apply to a unit bought in the UAE.
