### What 50 litres a day means

**Lukas Pro removes up to 50 litres a day (Stadler Form's rated maximum, reached only from about 22 °C and 70% relative humidity).** The exact test condition is not published, so a cooler, drier air-conditioned room yields less; the 26.7 °C, 60% RH condition belongs to the 545 W power figure. Stadler Form notes that dehumidifiers for private use usually top out at 20 litres per 24 hours.

## How quiet is Lukas Pro, and can you sleep with it on?

**Stadler Form publishes a sound level of 38–55 dB(A) for Lukas Pro, with no measuring distance and no separate night-mode figure.** 38 dB(A) is the bottom of that range, not a night-mode reading. It is a compressor dehumidifier, so expect to hear it, and it is not the quietest Stadler Form model.

### What night mode does

One press dims the LEDs to 30%, switches the display off and sets the fan to level 1 of four; SPEED still raises it, and a second press returns to normal. The manual's example is a bedroom: check the room is at least 7.2 m² and 3 m from any en-suite bath or shower. If quiet comes first, [Albert](https://www.protechnology.ae/stadler-form-albert-dehumidifier-uae) is rated 33–44 dB(A).

## Smart features: Wi-Fi app, hygrostat, timer, child lock and auto shut-off

**Every function on the top touch panel is also in the app, which works from anywhere over Wi-Fi and shows air quality in real time.**

### Wi-Fi: 2.4 GHz networks only

Lukas Pro pairs with the Stadler Form app or Tuya's Smart Life – Smart Living app, one at a time. It cannot join a combined 2.4/5 GHz network or a pure 5 GHz network, so give it a separate 2.4 GHz network if your router uses one name for both bands. One account owns the unit and can share control; Apple HomeKit is not supported.

1. Connect your phone to the 2.4 GHz network.
2. Hold the Wi-Fi button for 3 seconds until its LED flashes; a new unit starts in pairing mode.
3. Add Lukas Pro in the app. A steady LED means it is connected. Stadler Form's [Wi-Fi instructions](https://www.stadlerform.com/en-ch/service/wi-fi/instruction-lukas-pro) show each screen.

### Hygrostat, timer and child lock

- **Hygrostat:** 30–80% relative humidity or CO (continuous), set with + and -; after 3 seconds the display shows the room's current humidity. No step size is published.
- **Timer:** 1–9 hours, then the unit switches off. The English manual says on; the German, Dutch, Danish and Italian texts say off.
- **Child lock:** hold TIMER for 3 seconds while running (CL shows); hold again to unlock, or use the app. Unplugging clears it.

## Can Lukas Pro dry laundry indoors?

**Yes: LAUNDRY mode runs at the maximum level with the swing outlet on.** Stadler Form calls it a mode for quick laundry drying but publishes no drying time.

1. Hang the washing at least 50 cm from the unit, where it cannot drip onto it.
2. Press LAUNDRY: level 4, swing and continuous hygrostat are preset, with a 6-hour timer.
3. Change the timer if needed; the other settings are fixed in this mode.
4. The display counts down, and the unit switches off at the end.

In a small laundry room, keep to the 7.2 m² minimum and use the drain hose if there is a floor drain: a full tank stops the unit.

## Tank or drain hose: where does the water go?

**Lukas Pro collects water in a 5.2-litre tank or drains it continuously through the 100 cm hose in the box, by gravity only.**

### 5.2-litre tank

A level indicator shows the fill; when it is full, the TANK FULL LED lights and the unit stops until the emptied tank is back.

### 100 cm hose included

Connect it through the hole in the back and lead it to a floor drain: no tank to empty.

### No pump

The hose end must sit lower than the spout, or the water will not drain and can flood. It cannot lift water into a raised sink.

On days it is not in use, the manual asks you to switch it off and empty the tank.

## Does Lukas Pro purify the air? HEPA filter, CADR and real coverage

**Yes. Lukas Pro ships with a HEPA filter, class H11 according to Stadler Form, and purifies at a clean air delivery rate (CADR) of up to 327 m³/h according to AHAM.** Use PURIFY alone, or together with DRY: in that combined mode the compressor stops at the target humidity and purification continues.

**175 m² is the dehumidifying rating, not the purifier's.** Purifier coverage depends on how often the air passes through the filter: the manual rates Lukas Pro for 44 m² (109 m³) at three air changes an hour, for moderate pollution and normal use, and Stadler Form's product page quotes 131 m² at one. Both come from the same 327 m³/h.

### The HEPA filter: care and replacement

The filter cannot be cleaned and needs replacing about every 12 months, depending on air quality, with the Lukas Pro HEPA filter L-034 from [Stadler Form UAE](https://stadlerform.ae/product/lukas-pro-hepa-filter/); the Lukas filter L-032 does not fit. Stadler Form reports that the Lukas Pro HEPA filter removed over 99.99% of airborne germs within two hours in an independent laboratory test with Staphylococcus albus; it does not publish the report, the room size or the laboratory.

## Placement and safety: the manual's rules

**Stand Lukas Pro on a firm, level, waterproof floor in a room of at least 7.2 m², more than 50 cm from walls and large objects, with nothing blocking the airflow.**

1. Keep it upright in transport, then let it stand upright for 24 hours before first use, and at least 60 minutes after any later move.
2. Remove the rear grille, take out the HEPA filter, peel off its film and refit it following the arrows on top.
3. Unwind the cable fully, plug into a 220–240 V socket and press On/Off: DRY mode starts at level 2 with continuous hygrostat, swing on and Wi-Fi in pairing mode.

- Never run it inside a closet or cupboard: the manual warns this may cause a fire.
- Keep it at least 3 m from a bath, shower or swimming pool.
- Indoors only, away from heat sources, and never covered.
- Empty the tank before every move; it weighs 18 kg and rolls sideways on hidden wheels.
- Children aged 8 and over may use it only with supervision or instruction.

Lukas Pro contains 127 g of R290, a flammable refrigerant. Warranty service is handled through PRO TECHnology's Middle East service centre in Dubai. As the manual requires, work on the sealed R290 refrigerant circuit is done only by technicians authorised by the manufacturer.

## What Lukas Pro is not for

**Lukas Pro is a household appliance: the manual says it is only to be used in the home, indoors.**

### Building sites and water damage

Drying screed, flooded rooms, warehouses or halls needs an industrial construction dryer, which is what Stadler Form advises for water damage.

### Spaces outside its range

It works best at 13–35 °C, with a maximum of 35 °C at 80% RH and a lowest recommended 5 °C; unconditioned garages and semi-outdoor areas can fall outside that.

### Bathrooms, closets, tiny rooms

Not within 3 m of a bath, shower or pool, never inside a closet, and not in rooms under 7.2 m².

### Large dust-only rooms

At three air changes an hour it purifies up to 44 m², so a big room with dust but no damp needs a dedicated air purifier.

Yes. When the 5.2-litre tank is full, the TANK FULL LED lights and the unit switches off, then restarts by itself once you refit the emptied tank. It also stops at your target humidity and when the 1–9 hour timer ends. With the drain hose connected, the water drains away instead.

**Does Lukas Pro have a child lock?**

Yes. With the unit on, hold TIMER for 3 seconds: CL appears and every button locks; hold it again to unlock. The lock can also be set in the app. It is cleared when Lukas Pro is unplugged or loses power, so set it again afterwards.

**Does Lukas Pro restart after a power cut?**

Stadler Form documents only a memory function: Lukas Pro keeps its last settings when switched off and unplugged. It does not say the unit switches itself back on after a power cut, so check it when the power returns and set the child lock again.

**Can Lukas Pro dry laundry indoors?**

Yes. LAUNDRY mode runs it at level 4, the maximum, with swing on and the hygrostat on continuous, for a 6-hour timer you can change. Keep clothes at least 50 cm from the unit and do not let them drip onto it. Stadler Form publishes no drying time.

**Can Lukas Pro drain continuously, and can the hose drain upwards?**

It drains continuously through the included 100 cm hose, connected at the back. It cannot drain upwards: there is no pump, so the end of the hose must sit lower than the spout, for example in a floor drain, or the water will not drain and can flood.

**Does Lukas Pro purify the air as well as dehumidify?**

Yes. It ships with a HEPA filter, class H11 according to Stadler Form, and a clean air delivery rate of up to 327 m³/h according to AHAM: enough for 44 m² at three air changes an hour, or 131 m² at one. It purifies alone in PURIFY mode or while dehumidifying; 175 m² is the dehumidifying rating only.

**How often does the Lukas Pro HEPA filter need replacing?**

About every 12 months, depending on air quality; it cannot be cleaned. The replacement is the Lukas Pro HEPA filter, Stadler Form article L-034, sold by Stadler Form UAE ; the Lukas filter L-032 does not fit. Remove the plastic film from the factory filter before first use.

**What humidity should I set on Lukas Pro?**

Set a target inside the commonly recommended 40–60% relative humidity band; the hygrostat accepts 30 to 80%, or CO for continuous running. Humidity held in that band makes conditions less favourable for damp, condensation and mould growth. The display then shows the room's current humidity.

**Do I need a dehumidifier if I have air conditioning?**

It depends on the room. Air conditioning can remove moisture as part of cooling but may not maintain the desired indoor relative humidity under every operating condition. If humidity stays above the commonly recommended 40–60% band with the AC running, a dehumidifier with a hygrostat, such as Lukas Pro, targets humidity directly.

**What is the difference between Lukas Pro and Lukas?**

Lukas Pro is rated 50 L/day and 175 m², Lukas 20 L/day and 70 m². Lukas Pro includes the HEPA filter, a purify-only mode and a particle sensor; Lukas takes an optional HEPA filter and has neither of the others. Both have Wi-Fi, a child lock and laundry mode. Warranty: five years against two.
