A unit rated for 40 m² placed in a 120 m² majlis will run constantly and never reach the humidity you set. One caveat on offices: Stadler Form rates these models for household use, so for an office, showroom or plant room, tell us the space and we will size it rather than scaling a domestic unit up. A tank that needs emptying twice a day in a Dubai summer becomes a chore, and chores get abandoned. ### Tank or continuous drain Higher capacity means faster tank filling: 5.2 litres on Lukas Pro, 4.6 on Albert, 4.2 on Lukas. All three take a hose instead, but drainage is by gravity, so the hose end has to sit lower than the outlet. ### Automatic shut-off All three switch themselves off when the tank is full and start again once the emptied tank is back in place, which protects the unit and the floor when nobody is home. ### Set a target, not just on or off A digital hygrostat holds a set humidity level instead of running continuously: all three switch off at the target, then re-check at intervals and restart when the room drifts above it. ### Where the unit will live Laundry rooms, plant rooms and hallways change the drainage and noise calculation. Decide the location before the model. ## When a 2-in-1 with HEPA is worth it, and when it is not Filtration and dehumidification solve different problems. A purifier cannot remove water from the air, and a plain dehumidifier is not a particle filter. Combining them only makes sense when you genuinely need both in the same room. ### Two problems, not one Humidity causes damp, musty smells and slow drying. Particles settle as dust on every surface. Higher extraction fills a tank faster, and in a Dubai summer a large unit can need emptying more than once a day. Where a drain is reachable, continuous drainage removes the routine altogether: Lukas Pro and Lukas come with a 100 cm hose and Albert with a 2 m hose, all draining by gravity, so the hose end must sit lower than the outlet.
