Click any milestone to read the detail, the ones in red changed the shape of the business. Founded On Feb 4th, PRO TECHnology was founded in Dubai by Mr. Jamal H. Maraqa, to address the growing demand and lack of regional support for digital storage solutions. 1999 First distribution agreements Regional distribution signed with Legacy Systems Inc. (RAID storage, Canada) and Canto GmbH (asset management); appointed DICOTA's regional distributor for the Middle East and Africa. 2000 Apple partnership Became an Apple Authorised Reseller with a specialised Apple Service Centre for the UAE, and was appointed regional distributor by Qualstar Corp. for tape libraries. 2001 iNet Centre A dedicated training and education centre at Hamar Ain Centre / Marriott Hotel shopping mall, an attraction for the UAE's early technology community. 2003 Launch of EVO Dubai Media City showroom The first retail outlet in Dubai Media City, under the patronage of DMC CEO Abdul Hameid Juma'a, branded EVO, "No upgrades, just EVOlution", and the first IT service provider in DMC. 2004 Apple award & Adobe Named the largest Apple dealer and best Apple Service Centre in the region, and signed a dealership agreement with Adobe Inc. for the advertising and printing industry. 2005 Regional expansion Branch network extended to Jordan, Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries. 2006 LaCie & 3D Systems Appointed exclusive LaCie distributor for MENA, and signed with 3D Systems to serve the UAE education market. 2007 Launch of the Digital Printing division Sun Innovations of Russia appointed PRO TECHnology sole distributor for its UV printing solutions across the Middle East and Africa. 2008 Lightspeed partnership Joined the network of system integrators and resellers of the Canadian company Lightspeed. 2009 Device management Appointed an authorised FileWave reseller in the GCC, and joined the professional partner network of Symantec Inc. 2011 Launch of Sun Studio Dubai With Sun Innovations, launched the UAE's first production and printing studio, offering the world's first 3D printer to interior decorators, architects, painters and construction companies, printing on any kind of material. Showroom second branch, Jumeirah Emirates Towers Opened at Jumeirah Emirates Towers Boulevard, designed to showcase state-of-the-art accessories and luxury electronics. 2012 Adobe Channel Awards Two honours at the Adobe Channel Awards, after a year supporting customers through Adobe's move from perpetual licensing to cloud subscription. 2013 Stadler Form partnership Partnership with the Swiss brand Stadler Form to distribute air purifiers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers and aroma diffusers, the start of the indoor air quality business. 2015 Direct Color Systems partnership Appointed by Direct Color Systems, USA as regional distributor for the Middle East, deepening the industrial printing portfolio. 2016 EVO goes digital, launched as an online store One of the first UAE companies to integrate an online store into its corporate website, cash and card on delivery at launch, online payment soon after. 2017 HawaQ launched A new business unit dedicated to air quality solutions, under the brand HawaQ. 2018 Ring partnership Ring and PRO TECHnology partnered to bring home security systems to MENA; PRO TECHnology received an Excellence award from Ring the same year. 2019 Dubai Police recognition Jamal H. Maraqa received an award of appreciation from Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police HQ, for contributions to the force's home security programme. 2021 Kanguru partnership Became exclusive MENA partner of the US company Kanguru, bringing the highest grade of USB security technology to the region. 2022 Imago Printer partnership The Polish brand Imago joined the portfolio, launched on the PRO TECHnology stand at the SGI exhibition. Adobe Top Growth award Granted the Adobe Top Growth 2021 Award at the Grapheast and Adobe Channel Awards 2022, recognition of a partnership built on trust, confidence and integrity. 2023 PRONEXT launched in Saudi Arabia PRONEXT launched in Saudi Arabia as part of a strategic regional expansion, strengthening presence in one of the region's fastest-growing markets. LSINC partnership LSINC Corporation of Huntsville, Alabama partnered with PRO TECHnology, one of the first companies to introduce UV printing in the region, to sell its direct-to-object digital printers across MENA. 2025 Marabu Inks partnership Marabu Inks, a global leader in ink solutions, appointed PRO TECHnology as its distributor in the Middle East. Launch of xAIa, AI Solutions Launched xAIa, the group’s artificial intelligence arm, building voice, chat and workflow automation for enterprises across the region. 2026 wallPen partnership The German wall-printing pioneer wallPen partnered with PRO TECHnology to bring advanced wall printing technology to the Middle East.
